Abstract

Preconception care has an important role in improving women's health before conception to produce a healthy pregnancy. It takes awareness and good behaviour for every woman of childbearing age to optimize preconception care. This study aimed to describe women's knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy of reproductive. This research was descriptive with a survey design. This research was conducted in two sub-districts from August to November 2019, namely Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency and Padalarang District, West Bandung Regency. The subjects of this study were women of reproductive age with an age range of 15-49 years. The size of the sample was 82. The sampling technic was consecutive sampling when women came to the health facility/midwife clinic in the study area. The results showed that almost half of the respondents knew preconception care in the sufficient category (41.5%), the attitude of the respondents regarding preconception care was mostly in the sufficient category (59.8%), and the respondents' self-efficacy related to preconception care was in the high category. (65.9%). Health promotion and education efforts related to preconception care for the community, especially women of reproductive age, need to be increased
