PENGARUH ART THERAPY TERHADAP KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN PENYAKIT GINJAL KRONIK DENGAN HEMODIALISIS
Abstract
The quality of life in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients decreases when the CKD level increases, especially if the amount of albumin is high and the hemoglobin level is decreased. Health-related quality of life is associated with progressive CKD levels. Art therapy is one of the therapies that can be performed on hemodialysis patients to reduce levels of depression, anxiety, and stress, so it is hoped that the quality of life of CKD patients can increase. This study aimed to determine the effect of art therapy drawing and coloring on the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis. This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test – post-test control group design approach. The number of samples was 41 people in the intervention group and 41 people in the control group. The type of bivariate analysis used is Paired t-test and independent t-test. The results showed that in the intervention group, there was an effect of art therapy drawing and coloring on the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.001. Art therapy drawing and coloring affect the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.001 in the intervention group compared to the control group. Art therapy drawing and coloring can be used as a nursing intervention to improve the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients with hemodialysis.
