Young women in Islamic boarding schools are prone to anemia. Many studies have learned the determinants of anemia in adolescent girls in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. This literature review will find the determinants of anemia in female students at Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia in </em><em>22</em> <em>articles</em><em>. Article searches are carried out through electronic databases, namely Proquest, Google Scholar, and PubMed with the publication year 2017-2022. The results of a review of </em><em>22</em> <em>articles</em><em> show that health facilities in preventing anemia, peer support, age, nutritional status, consumption of iron sources, consumption of iron inhibitors, folate intake, vitamin C adequacy, nutritional knowledge, nutritional attitudes, nutritional practices, teacher attitudes and behavior, the genotype of the </em><em>t</em><em>ransferrin P570S gene polymorphism and menstruation </em><em>were</em><em> determinants of anemia in female students at Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Supplementation of iron, folic acid and vitamin C, the availability and quality of food served at Islamic boarding schools need to be considered for the prevention of anemia in female students in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools can establish cooperation with local health centers in providing supplements for blood-boosting tablets, consulting on healthy menus, and providing nutrition and health education to students at Islamic boarding schools.</em></p>}, number={1}, journal={JURNAL RISET KESEHATAN POLTEKKES DEPKES BANDUNG}, author={Arifianti, Dian Isnaini and Sudiarti, Trini}, year={2023}, month={Jan.}, pages={1-12} }
