Abstract

Aggressive driving is the behavior of driving without paying attention to the other people on the road, violating traffic regulations, and creating a dangerous situation that can even lead to accidents. Data during January to August 2020 there were 632 accidents with 99 deaths. The purpose of this study is to collect information or literature related to aggressive driving. The method used in this research is literature study. The data used comes from literary sources such as scientific articles / journals, books, documents, and laws published in the last 10 years. The results of the research shown that the aggressive driving that are frequently done by drivers are reducing the distance between drivers, blocking other driver’s road, speeding, red lights running, and passing without giving a signal. The associated factors of driver's aggressive behavior are personal factors, stress, mileage, and environmental conditions. Controls of aggressive driving can be done by mindfulness training, trying to be positive, self-control and increasing emotional maturity.
