EFEKTIVITAS MODUL PENCEGAHAN HIV/AIDS BAGI CALON PENGANTIN TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP

Abstract

One of the policies of the city of Bogor in overcoming the problem of HIV / AIDS is by stipulating the Bogor City Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2016 concerning the prevention and control of HIV / AIDS in article 12 paragraph 3 concerning the prevention of HIV / AIDS transmission to the bride and groom as stated in article 13 paragraph 3 which reads "every bride and groom is referred to the Puskesmas to take an HIV / AIDS test". The lack of motivation of the bride and groom for voluntary test counseling (KTS) is not only from the word Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) but also many factors such as a lack of knowledge of the prospective bride and groom about HIV, lack of support or support for conducting KTS both from the prospective bride and groom, health workers, public figures. community and religious leaders, and realize that they are vulnerable to HIV / AIDS. To determine the effectiveness of the HIV / AIDS prevention module for brides-to-be in Bogor City on knowledge and attitudes is the aim of this study. The sample used was consecutive sampling. Data collection using google form.The research design used in this study was a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental nonrandomized control group posttest only design. The respondents of this study were 40 prospective brides who live in the city of Bogor who meet the inclusion criteria. This research was conducted from August to December 2020 with 40 respondents from each group. The independent variables are knowledge and attitudes, while the dependent variable is the HIV / AIDS prevention module for the bride and groom. Variables were measured using a questionnaire. The data were collected when respondents took online prenuptial courses. The data analysis used a non-parametric statistical test, namely the Mann-Whitney test, so that the differences between each group could be seen.There was a significant difference in the intervention group who received the socialization of the HIV / AIDS prevention module who had better knowledge and attitudes than the control group's knowledge and attitudes. Recommendation: further research is needed after receiving the socialization of the HIV / AIDS prevention module which refers to the awareness of the bride and groom to conduct voluntary counseling and testing as an effort to prevent HIV / AIDS in their partners.
