AKSES INFORMASI KESEHATAN GIGI DI KLINIK GIGI WILAYAH BANDUNG RAYA DENGAN BARCODE SCANNER
Abstract
Technological advancements, particularly in information technology (IT), have rapidly transformed various aspects of human life. One notable advancement is the barcode scanner, a device used to read data in barcodes. This qualitative research aims to explore the impact of a barcode scanner application on the accessibility of dental health information. The study population comprised patients from dental clinics A, B, and C, totaling approximately 90 individuals. Purposive sampling was employed to select a sample size of 75 patients, as determined by the Slovin formula. Statistical analysis was conducted to test the hypothesis regarding the correlation between the accessibility of the barcode scanner application and the completeness of its features. The results indicated a significant relationship (p < 0.05) between the two variables, as the features of the barcode scanner application allowed for versatile data input using existing templates. Furthermore, the statistical analysis also revealed a significant correlation (p < 0.05) between the accessibility of the barcode scanner application and the availability of dental health information. The data obtained demonstrated that the application facilitated easy access to accurate information on dental and oral health, benefiting the community in obtaining optimal information. Integrating the barcode scanner application into dental clinics enhanced patient experiences, promoting efficiency and facilitating informed decision-making.
