Abstract

Gangguan pendengaran mendadak diketahui menjadi salah satu gangguan pendengaran yang sering terjadi dengan jumlah kasus berkisar 80% hingga 90% kasus, dan mayoritas berdampak pada gangguan pendengaran mendadak di salah satu telinga. Kasus gangguan pendengaran mendadak diketahui dapat disembuhkan melalui manajemen yang sesuai. Kelainan vaskuler, kelainan imunologi, infeksi akibat virus serta rusaknya membran koklea dinilai sebagai faktor penyebab gangguan pendengaran. Salah satu manajemen gangguan pendengaran mendadak yang  sering dilakukan dalam jangka waktu pendek adalah terapi oksigen hiperbarik. Terapi oksigen hiperbarik pada pasien gangguan pendengaran mendadak sebagai salah satu manajemen penanganan gangguan pendengaran mendadak bekerja melalui mekanisme peningkatan distribusi oksigen pada koklea. Penelitian ini disusun dengan tinjauan literatur sistematis untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh terapi oksigen hiperbarik terhadap perbaikan gangguan pendengaran mendadak. Peneliti memilih sampel dari jurnal internasional dan nasional yang terindeks oleh ProQuest, Wiley Online, Science Direct, Taylor Francis, SAGE, PubMed, dan SINTA antara tahun 2017 dan 2022. Peneliti menyadari kurangnya literatur yang relevan karena hanya 11 jurnal yang sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian.  Namun, ini dianggap sebagai langkah awal untuk penelitian lebih lanjut. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa terapi oksigen hiperbarik berpengaruh terhadap perbaikan persepsi koklea pada pasien yang mengalami gangguan pendengaran mendadak, setelah pemberian terapi dengan rata-rata waktu 1-2 minggu, dengan tekanan 1,8 ATA hingga 2 ATA, baik dikombinasikan dengan kortikosteroid maupun terapi oksigen hiperbarik saja. Rekomendasi penulis adalah penelitian selanjutnya dapat meneliti faktor yang memengaruhi efektivitas pemberian terapi oksigen hiperbarik terhadap perbaikan gangguan pendengaran mendadak serta pemberian terapi oksigen hiperbarik dapat menjadi salah satu terapi adjuvan yang dapat diberikan kepada pasien di Indonesia.
