Diarrhea is a primary problem especially in remote and underdeveloped areas, borderland and outlying islands (DTPK) which Team-based Nusantara Sehat have been distributed in primary health center (PHC). The purpose of this paper was to know drug-seeking behavior for diarrhea in primary health center where Team-based Nusantara Sehat distributed. It is a part of evaluative research on Team-based Nusantara Sehat Placement in 2017. Research design was cross-sectional. The study was conducted at the placement location of Nusantara Sehat as many as 30 PHCs spread across 27 districts in 15 provinces. Data collection was carried out by interview using questionnaires and simple random sampling. A survey included 6,190 households with a total of 18,930 people and was done one month before tenure of Team-based Nusantara Sehat ended. The results of this study showed that diarrhea prevalence based on diagnosed by professional and based on symptoms (watery or mushy stool, more than 3 times day) is 4%. The respondents’ efforts in treating their diarrhea are taking oralit (31.1%), doctor’s prescription medicine (24.1%), self-medication either buying drugs from drug store or taking a traditional medicine (38.9%). The community requires enhanced education on the significance of maintaining a clean and healthy lifestyle to help lower diarrhea rates, as well as instruction on proper self-medication to promote the rational use of medications.
