ASUHAN BERPUSAT PADA KELUARGA MENINGKATKAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DAN KEBERHASILAN PEMBERIAN ASI AWAL
Abstract
The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia has not reached the expected number. The main reason for the failure of breastfeeding for infants 0-5 months is 68.3% because breast milk does not come out. The breastfeeding process will run optimally if the mother's physical and psychological condition is in good condition. Support from the closest people is very important in the success or failure of breastfeeding. A family-center care model is needed as an effort to increase support in breastfeeding. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the family-centered care model on family support and the success of early breastfeeding. The research design used a pre-test post-test control group design, carried out at the Bogor. Sampling was done by purposive sampling on 27 respondents from the intervention group and 27 from the control group. Variables were measured using pre-test post-test instruments before and after being given care to the families of pregnant women in the form of education on the importance of breastfeeding, psychological adaptation of postpartum, oxytocin massage, breastfeeding methods and positions. Evaluation of care for the family is seen from the support felt by the mother and the success of breastfeeding up to 7 days postpartum. Analysis of the influence of the family-centered care model on support used the Mann-Whitney test, while to analyze the effect of care on early breastfeeding using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the family-centered care model on the support and success of early breastfeeding (p < 0.001) and (p = 0.017). It is hoped that this family-centered care model can be applied as a model in providing care to pregnant women in order to get support from the family and successfully provide breastfeeding.
