PENGARUH PERILAKU MEROKOK DAN PEMAKAIAN OBAT NYAMUK BAKAR TERHADAP KEJADIAN ISPA PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS JAZIRAH TENGGARA
Abstract
Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory system. This disease is still a health problem in the world, including Indonesia. This disease mostly affects toddlers. Several factors that influence the emergence of ARI in infants are smoking behavior and the use of mosquito coils. This study aimed to determine the relationship between smoking behavior and mosquito coil use and ARI incidence among toddlers in the Working Area of Southeast Jazirah Health Center. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study used the chi-square test. The results showed that the statistical test for the relationship between smoking behavior and the incidence of ARI had a p-value of 0.000, and the relationship between the use of mosquito coils and the incidence of ARI had a p-value of 0.000. This study concludes a relationship between smoking behavior and the use of mosquito coils with the incidence of ARI in toddlers in the Work Area of the Southeast Jazirah Health Center.
