SENAM YOGA MENURUNKAN DISMENORE PADA REMAJA
Abstract
Dysmenorrhea is a problem during menstruation. The factor can affect dysmenorrhea is yoga. Yoga is an activity that carries out physical activity, mentally and breathing techniques to relieve stress, ease recovery and reduce menstrual pain. The aim is to understand the implementation of Yoga exercises in influencing dysmenorrhea in adolescents.
Design method as analytic, using quasy experimental design pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling of 30 respondents in the control group and 30 respondents in the intervention group. Inclusion criteria are adolecencets improve dysmenorrhea WaLIDD score> 5, improve dysmenorrhea received every cycle increased in the last 6 months, greeting cycles 21-35 days, adolescents 12-16 years, improve primary dysmenorrhea, Working Period Index 18-25 kg / m2 and accepted as a respondent. Exclusion criteria are having other diseases that cause dysmenorrhea and having irregular cycles. Sampling was carried out at SMPN 40 Bandung City by involving students from the Department of Midwifery Poltekkes Kemenkes Bandung in August to November 2019.
Statistic test using independent sample t-test showed that there were differences shown in the level of dysmenorrhea in the intervention group and the control group after being given yoga exercises for 8 meetings with a duration of 60 minutes at each meeting, giving a definition of yoga exercises for dysmenorrhea with p -value <0.05. It is expected that teens will apply yoga exercises to reduce dysmenorrhea.
