EFEKTIVITAS PISANG AMBON TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN IBU HAMIL DI KABUPATEN KARAWANG
Abstract
The effect of anemia is very bad for the mother during pregnancy, childbirth, and during the puerperium and affects the intrauterine fetus. Complications due to pregnant women suffering from anemia are abortion, premature labor, prolonged labor, postpartum hemorrhage due to atony, shock and subinvolution. Giving Ambon bananas during pregnancy is an alternative to prevent and treat anemia with non-pharmacological therapy.Research Objectives: To describe the characteristics of pregnant women and the average increase in Hb levels of pregnant women before and after consuming Ambon banana, to know the difference in the average Hb levels, and to know the differences in Hb levels in the treatment group and the control group.Research Methods: The type of research Quasi eksperimen used is independent and dependent t-test. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, the number of samples was 70 respondents, namely pregnant women in the second and third trimesters at the Rengasdengklok Health Center, Karawang Regency.Results: 80% of respondents in this study were of productive age and 77% were in the third trimester of pregnancy, and the percentage of pregnancy was 80% in the first to third pregnancies. The average increase in Hb levels in the intervention group (0.491%). There is a difference in the average Hb levels in pregnant women before and after consuming bananas with p value = 0.000. There was a difference in the average Hb levels of the intervention and control groups, p value = 0.007.Conclusion: There is a significance difference of Hb level between intervention and control group.
