RIWAYAT PENGALAMAN SEKSUAL PADA REMAJA DI JAWA BARAT

Abstract

Sexual drive-in adolescence is very high so that it makes teenagers interested in having free sex. This encouragement makes teenagers want to have sex. Around 30% of teenagers in Indonesia have had sexual intercourse and married at the age of under 18 years. The problem is, in their teens, their knowledge is still lacking about sex and reproductive health. During dating this knowledge was obtained from peers with wrong information, including knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge about the use of contraceptive methods and sexual experience in adolescents in West Java. The research was carried out as a further analysis of SKAP data for the province of West Java in 2019. The research method was carried out in a cross-sectional manner. The results of this study are useful as supporting information in efforts to prevent pregnancy in adolescents, developing teaching materials, especially for Family Planning and Reproductive Health courses and as a reference for increasing the ability of health workers, cadres and school teachers in conducting adolescent reproductive health education. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and a history of sexual intercourse in adolescents after controlling for gender and age. It is recommended for health institutions to be able to provide health promotion on family planning and reproductive health to adolescents accompanied by religious material in collaboration with religious leaders so that it is not misused by adolescents
