PENGARUH SENAM YOGA TERHADAP DURASI TIDUR DAN LOW BACK PAIN PADA IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III

Abstract

In the usual third trimester of pregnancy there are discomforts that are often complained or felt by pregnant women such as low back pain and decreased sleep duration, this is due to physical and physiological changes in pregnant women. One of the management is with yoga gymnastics. Exercise yoga is very helpful to overcome sleep disorders and low back pain pregnant women during pregnancy through the movements and breathing exercises in yoga exercises. When pregnant women do yoga exercises regularly and properly will feel a relaxing effect that is useful to overcome anxiety and tension. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of yoga exercises on sleep duration and low back pain in third trimester pregnant women at Puskesmas Bogor . This research uses Quasi Experimental design with one group pre test and post test design without control. The samples were 15 control group respondents and 15 respondents from the intervention group. Statistical test using  dependent T- test and independent T- test. The result of statistic test shows that there is difference of sleep duration and low back pain of pregnant mother of third trimester both in control group and intervention after given yoga gymnastic with p = 0,001 and alpha = 0,05. Conclusion: Gymnastic yoga effect on sleep duration and low back pain pregnant mother of third trimester III at Puskesmas Bogor city.
