Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in persistent blood pressure with criteria for systolic blood pressure above 140 mmHg and dyastoleic blood pressure above 90 mmHg, which can cause interference with blood vessels and affect the whole body. Physical activity provides great benefits for all ages and also has positive relationship with the decrease in cases of cardiovascular disease in patients with hypertension by 50%. Isotonik exercise has a positive impact on the body. Isotonik with handgrip exercise can increase muscle strength and improve pulse and systolic blood pressure in a short time. Effectiveness of isotonik training with Handgrip on blood pressure of hypertensive patients in the working area of Bandung City Health Center in 2020. Quasi experiment pre-posttest with control group design, sample of 60 people multi-stage random sampling, test results show normal and homogeneous distribution of data, data analysis using dependent t-test and independent t-test. Analysis of BP systole with mean difference test 5.20 with p value 0.030 less, this shows that p value is less than 0.05, it is found that Ho is rejected there is a significant difference. There is also no significance difference in BP of Diastole. For BP Systole. there is an effect of giving isotonic training with handgrip on controlling blood pressure in hypertension in the work area of the Bandung City Health Center in 2020.
