ANALISIS PERHITUNGAN CARBON FOOTPRINT DARI PENGGUNAAN GAS, BENSIN, DAN LISTRIK RUMAH TANGGA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PASIRKALIKI CIMAHI
Abstract
Humans produce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from energy use in their daily activities. The more human activities, the more energy is used, so the more significant the carbon footprint produced by these humans. The carbon footprint method measures human activities that impact the environment by calculating how much by-product (Greenhouse Gas, GHG) is produced, usually calculated in CO2 units. This carbon footprint calculation analysis results from a basic data survey for creating the "Carbon Footprint Calculator" application. The sample for this survey is community houses in the working area of the Pasirkaliki Health Center. Samples were taken by random sampling in Kampung Rancabali RW 3, Pasirkaliki Village, North Cimahi. Surveys on gas, gasoline, and household electricity were collected using a Data Collection Instrument (IPD). The survey results show that the average primary CO2 emission from using LPG gas produces 0.007 tons of CO2/house/month, while gasoline is 0.073 tons of CO2/house/month. The secondary emission calculations for electricity consumption show an average emission of 0.102 tons of CO2/house/month. Communities should make savings in the use of energy in household activities. Besides that, the community is advised to start planting plants in each house to reduce carbon emissions (CO2). It is done because plants or trees can absorb the carbon emissions (CO2) they produce.
